Jennifer Paulson is a Family Nurse Practitioner, IFM Certified Practitioner, and Registered Yoga Teacher. She’s humbly witnessed firsthand how functional medicine has healed her patients and changed their lives.
Jennifer understands the struggles of her patients, since she’s lived through many of these struggles herself. Having recovered herself and family members from the glooming diagnostic labels of autism, dyslexia, asthma, IBS, mycotoxin illness, chronic fatigue syndrome, and vague autoimmune disease, Jennifer knows firsthand what it’s like to be diagnosed and work through healing journeys. These personal challenges and defeats were catalysts in Jennifer changing her practice style and educational focus.
Prior to opening her own practice, Jennifer worked in conventional medicine in a variety of settings but never felt satisfied with the “band-aid approach” to patient care. She knew that lifestyle changes such as nutrition, stress management and gut health were the cornerstone of optimal health. She ventured into integrative and functional medicine training as a way to heal herself, her family and her patients.
Through functional medicine and yoga, Jennifer was able to reverse many of these diseases and reject the diagnostic labels put upon her and her family. Her mission is to share her knowledge of functional medicine and healing practices with her patients, and to help them live their healthiest lives.
Jennifer believes that your diagnoses are not your destiny. She believes that you should have autonomy and control over your health and your body. Overall, she believes in listening, compassion, education, and support – she’s there to hold your hand on your journey to healing and optimal health.

I love that she will seek out the right supplement to fit my exact needs. I highly recommend her to everyone!”
“I can't tell you how thankful I am to have found Jennifer. I went to so many doctors for years trying to figure out what was wrong with my stomach, and they all wrote me off and just wanted to give me a prescription. She has always listened to me, has always asked me for my thoughts on my treatment plan and taken my experiences with past treatments into consideration before putting me on any supplements, and is just great all the way around. You guys, I can't say enough good things about her. My experience has been so good that I've recommended her to anyone I speak with who is having difficulty with their health/doctor. My husband started going to her not too long ago as well, and she put more effort into his very first visit than any of his previous doctors for as long as I've known him. She's kind, friendly, so helpful, and knows what she's doing. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor.”
“Jennifer Paulson is experienced, knowledgeable and attentive. I have seen her for 6 mons or so and continue to work on improving my health. I appreciate her holistic approach and am happy with the services I've received thus far. I value her explanations which go beyond "do this... or take this" and give more of a scientific explanation of the body from a system approach. She always responds promptly to any questions I have.”
“I consulted with Jennifer on some challenging medical issues that weren't being resolved by my primary care physician or the specialists I'd seen for six months. With some very detailed questioning and a few tests, she was quickly able to diagnose what the issues were and guide me on the road to recovery. Jennifer listened carefully, didn't assume anything, definitely did some great research and out of the box thinking to come up with a solution. I've found her to be a wealth of information and highly recommend her FUNCTIONAL medicine methodology.”
“I have been going to Jennifer for several years now and I can't say enough good things. Her level of skill, knowledge and compassion are extraordinary. She is continuously educating herself and updating her knowledge base. She has helped me with health issues that no other doctor had a clue about. Functional medicine has gotten to the root of things and I am truly grateful. Bend is very lucky to have Jennifer....”
Sara Miller began her personal quest for health since coming down with a series of unexplained illnesses in 2002. During her quest, she found that chiropractic care, naturopathy, eliminating toxins completely from her home and functional medicine were the best tools to help achieve total health. As a now busy mom to five kids (college through grade school), she is also a full-time music teacher and part-time Virtual Office Manager for Jennifer Paulson. She brings empathy to our practice, having personally gone through and battled issues with leaky gut, hormone imbalance, and adrenal fatigue…and is proud to share that she has come out on the other side of it with strength and renewed energy! Her passions include helping our patients overcome their fears and jump into their health journey with Jennifer by listening to and answering questions, assisting with paperwork and answering portal messages. In her spare time, you’ll find her studying the newest wellness principles, cooking healthy food for her family and making music at her church on the weekends.
